Week 4
(September 22-28, 2002)

News for you from 102!

Tuesday, October 1, 2002

Dear Parents,
I’m writing to tell you a few important things this week. Last Friday our apple week celebration went very well thanks to all of the parent volunteers who helped with our apple activities. The children had a blast!
This week we are studying the letter T. Sound cans went home yesterday to be filled with objects that start with T. If you are looking for work to do with your child at home, you can encourage them to write the letter of the week, to find objects that begin with that letter, and to point out the letter when you and your child are reading together. Another great skill that can be worked on at home is tying shoes!
Yesterday I also sent home a volunteer schedule. I planned on it being a weekly schedule, but if you would prefer your time slot to be monthly, or have a problem with the time you are scheduled, just let me know and we can work out a more convenient time for you.
