Dear Parents,

Our first field trip was extremely successful and very fun (and educational). We finished the week with M activities, and this week we are working on the letter L. As we learn each letter, ask your child to look for words around the house, in the car, and in the neighborhood that start with the letter of the week. They will be very happy to point out the words they recognize.

• All chaperones are welcome on our field trip on Monday, the 21st. If you checked the box that you can come, we will be expecting you first thing Monday morning. See you then!
• Tuesday, the 22nd is our Halloween celebration. We will be having a Halloween Party around 1:30, and a parade around the school with EC-2nd grade at 3:00. If you are interested in planning and coordinating the party with other parents, I would love the help. Just clilck the appropriate link at the bottom of the page to send me an e-mail and I will contact you as soon as I can.
• Costumes – Children can wear costumes for the party and parade. Please send your children to school carrying his or her costume in a bag. We will put them on for the party in the afternoon. Also, I will be sending home a piece of paper with instructions for making a book cover that relates to his or her costume.
